If anyone is wondering how lip gloss as a bath toy works out, 1/10. She may be pink for a few days. We may need a new tub. But I found a surprisingly endurable lip gloss. Silver linings? I was just trying to be “fun mummy”… Oops!

Hamish is out tonight so I’m in charge of the bath/milk/bed routine for a change. Normally this is when I disappear into my office. At the sound of starting Isla’s bath, she turns tonight and says “no, no! mummy no start working! no emails!” Routine can win just as much as it can fail. Mompreneuring can win just as much as it can fail. Glam, y’all!...

And each year after, until there is a cure.  I’ve been trying to put into words the experience of Hamish and Phil running the New York City marathon under the context of which they did. Personal achievement, an incredible life...

Isla is *still* singing “happy birthday” to herself. She even carries the right tune. And, when it’s done, she enthusiastically asks for cake. Somebody needs to tell what is clearly the world’s most optimistic diabetic toddler it’s not even her birth month anymore, let alone her birthday!

In a cab, crawling thru traffic. The boys are in a world of pain and, while they’re thrilled they finished, are saying marathons might not be their thing. (I wonder if it’s like immediately after labour and you swear you’re never having any more kids?) All that said, they’re thrilled they finished and we’re so proud! Phil at 4:42 and Hamish at “I have no...
