Whoopie Pie For One
My awesomely amazing friend Josie also spent her maternity leave starting a business. She’s opening a bakery, however, which is a lot more complicated than my business will ever be, and I couldn’t be prouder. Truly, she’s amazing.
Today they had a ‘Cake + Dough’ community fundraiser; we were there all afternoon and were supposed to be back tonight for the concert...

You know, I actually considered relaxing...
Hamish is out for a bit.

Two rounds of juice and 45 minutes later, she’s 8.2. I’d say ‘whew’ but that would imply relaxation on some level - not likely since this is our first mid-sleep extreme dip and uh, I have yet to confirm I handled that properly! I’m going to test again in two hours, not four just in case!!

I couldn’t keep up with #10on10 today. First, I lost track of what day it was! Then, I lost track of time! We were stuck in the time/space continuum of the hospital all day with follow up appointments for Isla’s diabetes. That little “Who? ME?” face in the bottom corner there? Yeah, she had a few meltdowns. Apparently the memory of that building has not faded yet. So,...

Isla! How she is :)
We haven’t even hit a full month since Isla’s diagnosis and, while some lingering signs remain of the trauma her little self went through — not to mention the shell shock still settling in the hearts of our family and friends — I’m thrilled to say that things are only getting better and better.
Yesterday we visited the hospital again for a two and a half hour long...
